About Tanso 🌍

One key barrier to move towards to a climate-neutral economy is the lack of data availability and transparency across companies. Aiming to remove this structural barrier, we leverage the power of data and machine learning to form the basis for a data-driven decarbonization of manufacturing companies. As a product-driven company, we’re using state-of-the-art technology and scientific research to tackle climate change the right way.

We’re developing a SaaS platform, which will make sustainability accounting as integrated, transparent, and verifiable as financial accounting and enable a low-carbon economy. If you are fascinated by developing technology that can help tackle climate change, we're the right place for you.

Your Objectives 🎯

In your role, you leverage your experience from sustainability consulting to help us build a scalable software product that enables our clients to reach their sustainability goals and comply with regulations and buyer requests. As an interdisciplinary contributor to product and sales, you take part in defining our product roadmap while scoping and managing projects with our development partners. Being an expert in environmental reporting and climate action, you are helping us leverage the latest insights from science to help industrial manufacturing companies transition towards a lower carbon economy at scale.

  • Enable our clients to take climate action: Owning projects with Head of Sustainability at our development partners, you manage scoping, integration and after-sales projects helping our clients to achieve their sustainability goals, e.g. in cooperation with external consultants
  • Define regulatory requirements for our product: Together with our product team and experts from academia and industry, you work out requirements for our software to make it comply with the latest regulations and deliver maximum impact. As an essential contributor of our product team, you help define, assess and deliver standalone parts of our product roadmap

Job requirements

  • Relevant professional experience from sustainability transformation projects for enterprises, e.g. in sustainability management or sustainability consulting (3+ years)

  • Study background from in business, engineering, sustainability management or similar

  • Strong domain expertise in Corporate Carbon Footprint calculation (experiences in supply chain analysis and product LCA are considered a big plus)

  • Demonstrated project leadership experience, managing multi-stakeholder client situations

  • Academic work (e.g. PhD) in sustainability is considered a strong plus

  • Quantitative mind with ability to break down complex problems into manageable pieces

  • Excitement to transition industry towards a more scalable way of managing sustainability

  • Willingness to become part of our product development and bring in your expertise as well as insights generated interacting with our customers as well as academia

  • You are fluent in German (C1-level).

  • You are fluent in English and open to relocate to Munich.

  • Genuine interest in and curiosity about sustainability tech.
